The California Tunnel tells the
story of a young, suicidal manic
depressive self destructing
throughout the magnificent
landscape of California (35 min).
Venice, Bakersfield, Sacramento, Salinas,
San Francisco, Yosemite National Park
The California Tunnel was filmed
entirely on location, guerilla-style
and includes a spectacular cast
of street musicians, vagrants
and perfect strangers that
allowed us to include them in our
film.
The California Tunnel reveals a
layer of the golden state that is
too often hidden under
cosmetics - the haggard pilgrims,
the dreamers and the
pathologically ill that set out
walking west until there is an
ocean in front of them. Their last
hope is always California.
