The California Tunnel was
filmed entirely on location,
guerilla-style and includes
a spectacular cast of
street musicians, vagrants
and perfect strangers that
allowed us to include
them in our film.
The California Tunnel
reveals a layer of the
golden state that is too
often hidden under
cosmetics - the haggard
pilgrims, the dreamers and
the pathologically ill that
set out walking west until
there is an ocean in front
of them. Their last hope is
always California.
